Welcome to TalePlay! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TalePlay mobile application, website, and related interactive services (collectively, the "Services").
By creating an account, downloading, accessing, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Services.
1. Eligibility and Account Registration
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in certain jurisdictions, including the EEA) to use TalePlay. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Services with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at serve@taleplay.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
2. Interactive Content and AI Disclaimer
TalePlay provides interactive stories, AI-driven character conversations, and digital narrative experiences.
- Fictional Nature: All characters, responses, plotlines, and AI interactions within TalePlay are purely fictional and generated for entertainment purposes only.
- AI Limitations: AI outputs may occasionally contain inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected content. TalePlay does not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of any AI-generated responses. AI characters do not provide professional legal, medical, financial, or psychological advice.
3. Subscriptions, Virtual Currency, and Payments
- Virtual Items & Coins: TalePlay may allow you to purchase virtual currency ("Coins") or digital items to unlock premium stories, chapters, or AI interactions. Virtual Coins have no real-world monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and are non-transferable.
- Recurring Subscriptions: Certain premium features or coin packages are available via auto-renewable subscription plans ("VIP Subscriptions").
- Billing: Payment will be charged to your iTunes / Apple ID Account, Google Play Account, or authorized payment gateway at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Cancellation: You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your mobile App Store account settings (Apple ID / Google Play Subscriptions) or web payment settings. Cancellations apply to the next billing cycle; current subscription periods are non-refundable.
- Refund Policy: All purchases (including virtual coins and subscription fees) are non-refundable, except as explicitly required by applicable law or platform policies (Apple App Store / Google Play).
4. User Generated Content and Code of Conduct
When creating custom characters, entering chat prompts, or posting content, you agree NOT to submit or transmit any content that:
- Is illegal, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or hateful.
- Promotes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual sexual content, or severe self-harm.
- Infringes upon any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Contains viruses, malware, or malicious code designed to disrupt the Services.
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to review, moderate, or remove any User Content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
- Our Ownership: TalePlay retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including all software, graphics, branding, original stories, character designs, and proprietary AI models.
- Limited License: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use TalePlay for your personal, non-commercial entertainment.
6. DMCA & Copyright Infringement Policy
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our Services.
A. Filing a DMCA Notice
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied or used in a way that constitutes copyright infringement within TalePlay, please send a written notification directly to us containing the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, along with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., direct link, character name, or story ID).
- Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
B. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to us containing your contact details, identification of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed mistakenly, and your consent to jurisdiction.
C. Repeat Infringers
It is our policy to disable or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe or are repeatedly charged with infringing the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of others.

7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in fraudulent or illegal activity. You may also terminate your account at any time by requesting deletion via serve@taleplay.com.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE, OUR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts having jurisdiction.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of TalePlay after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
